Don’t Let Iowa Bring Our Elections Back To The Stone Age ((BETTER))
Absolutely every "liberal" organization wants money from me. Please note that I am an 80 year-old prof emeritus who was never rich. I ardently defend all humanist and humanitarian causes, free health care and free education that most European countries have had ever since Bismarck (who was very conservative but knew that workers must be respected as human beings in order to work well, and I am therefore also in strong support of their unions. The victims of 9/11 rare now regarded as "heroes" although the Bush administration used that tragic even to diminish the rights of US citizens even further. Thanks to war mongers (like Cheney and Coindi Rice who sponsored torture) and the Supreme Court's support for G.W. Bush's rise to "Emperor of the World", our Constitution has become worthless. My country is no longer a real democracy. "Condi" claimed that China was spending too much money on the military. This country of ours spends more on these professional killers that all other counties combined. So why do we always pick on other nations as not being as good as we claim to be ? Let us clean up our own house and bring our Constitution back to life! Conrad - CA
Don’t Let Iowa Bring Our Elections Back to the Stone Age
The USA is a land of diverse peoples and their diverse religious beliefs. It is difficult to think of a single spiritual belief extant on earth that is not shared or held by some one person in the USA, or instead, a concept of ethics for those persons who desire not to be associated with organized religions or spirituality. The term "Islamic Terrorists" and "Islamic Extremists" are terminologies I have strongly opposed since the inception of their usage--by our politicians and by our news media--anywhere. One does not hear of the Italian Mafia referred to as "Catholic Extremists" or "Catholic Terrorists," even though historically that is the religious background of the upbringing of Italian persons. We need to use the correct terminology for criminals anywhere on this planet: Criminal, Thug, Outlaw--see following entries for synonyms for these types of organized criminals (which are not, and should be not, associated with any particular religious or ethnic group): "Main Entry: organized crime Part of Speech: noun Definition: coordinated criminal organization Synonyms: Black Hand, Cosa Nostra, Mafia, gangland, mob, organized crime family, the Syndicate, the mob, the rackets, the syndicate, the underworld..." On 9/11 American's turned to their local church's more than ever. We stood together 'One nation under God" I pray that from this tragic interruption in our lives, may we bring back "God" into country & home. "God Bless America" & "The Falllen Victims & Heroes"!! Sally - CA
Laws in 48 states ban people with felony convictions from voting. In 2022, an estimated 4.6 million Americans, representing 2 percent of the voting-age population, will be ineligible to vote due to these laws or policies, many of which date back to the post-Reconstruction era. In this election year, as the United States confronts questions about the stability of its democracy and the fairness of its elections, particularly within marginalized communities, the impact of voting bans on people with felony convictions should be front and center in the debate.
The forum will serve as a listening session that brings public awareness to disability policy. Through this dialogue, we will obtain feedback on best practices for the acquisition and use of medical records, common challenges associated with those records, and the future of electronic health information.
If the other side manages to steal both elections, we will have total, one party, socialist control and everything you care about will be gone. Your whole philosophy is going to be gone. Joe Biden, Kamala, Kamala Harris. [booing] Crying Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, they want to take away your guns. I never got it. I never got it. That's one of the reasons I knew. How can you win? No oil, no guns, no God. Oh, they won. I don't think so. Okay. I don't think. We knew that a long time ago. They want to take away your jobs, take away your borders, take away your freedom, take away your religion. And they even want to take away your beautiful Christmas that we just got back.
I used to say, "Without borders, we don't have a country." I can say also without an honest voting system, without an electoral process that works and that's honest and fair, we don't have a country either. We need to check every single signature in the presidential and senatorial elections. And right now, we have to get out to vote for David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler to show the radical left that we will never surrender, we will only win. We're gonna win. We always win. Somehow, we find a way to win. Now, is not the time to retreat. Now is the time to fight harder than ever before. So don't listen to my friends. Just go out, just go out. And you know what they're saying? They're saying, "We want you to fix the system." We're going to fix the system, but the system will be fixed when these people get in. They'll get in and we'll fix this system. Because we're all victims. Everybody here, all these thousands of people here tonight, they're all victims, every one of you. The next great victory for our movement begins right here on January 5th. And then we are going to win back the White House. We're going to win it back. [applause] And we're going to take back the House in 2022, and then in 2024. And hopefully I won't have to be a candidate, we're going to win back the White House again. [applause]
Over the last four years, we've built the greatest political movement in the history of our country. Already, we've achieved more than anyone thought possible, and we're just getting started and we don't want other people to rip it apart. We must reelect Kelly and David to keep it going for decades. Our politicians spent trillions and trillions of dollars rebuilding other foreign nations, fighting foreign wars and defending foreign borders. We want to defend our border if it's okay. And we're now finally protecting our nation, rebuilding our cities, and we are bringing our jobs, our factories, and our troops back home to the USA where they belong, thank you. [applause] Bringing 'em home. Not easy to bring 'em home. I bring 'em home, and they say, "Well, sir, we got to keep them there, sir. We got to keep spending money." We got to keep giving money to these countries that can't stand us, that nobody ever heard of.
[166] See, e.g., Burnell v. Gates Rubber Co., 647 F.3d 704, 709-10 (7th Cir. 2011) (concluding that evidence of plant manager's statement to African-American employee that he was "playing the race card" was sufficient to deny employer's motion for summary judgment on claim of retaliatory termination for race discrimination complaints); Abbott, 348 F.3d at 544 (ruling that summary judgment for employer on retaliation claim was improper where evidence showed supervisor stated he would "get back at those who had supported the charge of discrimination," told plaintiff he was being discharged for bringing "the morale of the shop down," and told the managing partner he fired plaintiff because he had put his nose in other people's business by testifying in support of coworker's discrimination allegations).
