Be Courageous

It was still a shock to Joshua when Moses died. And out of the depths of his grief the Voice of God speaks Words of hope, healing, and future stability. First God says, "I will not fail or forsake you." Powerful Words! Words of Assurance to comfort Joshua and stabilize his mind. Take these Words into your heart for they are meant for you also.

Paul recognizes that God's Words are meant for all of us so he uses them as a reminder in Hebrews 13:5. Because God has give us Christ Jesus out of God's true love for each of us then we know that not only has God not forsaken us, but also that God has made a way for the Holy Spirit to enliven us during our deepest sorrows, during our most challenging times, and that Go

We cannot rely on ourselves for the courage that we need to soldier ahead through what faces us. Yet each of us belongs to a branch in the vineyard of the Kingdom of God as we are called to fulfill God's purpose for participation in the good and loving actions towards others we encounter each day.

God is using us. And the source of the courage we need is directly from God, through the Holy Spirit, as God is using us just as Scripture tells us We are assured of God's Love in miraculous ways.

No one shall be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous; for you shall put this people in possession of the land that I swore to their ancestors to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to act in accordance with all the law that My servant Moses commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, so that you may be successful wherever you go. Joshua 1:5-7
