Let love be genuine, hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good, love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Romans 1:9-10
Stress begins when the brain says “no way” while the mouth says “no problem.” Love should not be stressful but sometimes is. Paul suggests that genuine love shines Christ’s love to someone else. Stress less Love.
Now, surely you do not need anyone to tell you how to love because our Lord Jesus has already given you His love which you in turn shower upon others. Your heart is ready to love as He loves. Practice makes perfect.
Yes hate is allowed when you are hating what is evil. Reject it in your life and let our Lord use you to stand strong against evil. Jesus will lead you to know how to do this. Hate the sin but love the sinner.
And outdo others in showing honor in love— with high respect and great esteem. This is where we have our radar (which spelled backwards is radar) tuned into Jesus to be respectful, whether or not we learned this as children.
