Jesus said to them, “I am the Bread of Life. Whoever comes to Me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty." John 6:35
On Sunday when I shared in taking Holy Communion with you as Jesus Christ blessed and sanctified the bread and drink we brought, I experienced the Great Peace of Jesus. Well fed by Him, I marvel at Who He Is in our lives. Here before us is the opportunity to be filled to the brim with HIs Presence as we partake of His Body and His Blood. And we are so filled that when we leave the service of Holy Communion others notice our satisfaction.
Jesus has set up the Kingdom of God for satisfaction of our spiritual needs. When we confess our sins, He forgives. When we lay our burdens at His feet, He cares. And when we yield our hearts to His perfect Love, He fills us. His Love is all satisfying.
Jesus tells us, "Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal.” (v. 27) Jesus' 'food that endures' can be found at a Revival, during a child's prayer, within a loving embrace, and found during Holy Communion at your Church, Alpha Church online.
