Let Those Who Are Mature

Updated: Jun 9, 2019

Let those of us then who are mature be of the same mind; and if you think differently about anything, this too God will reveal to you. Only let us hold fast to what we have attained. Philippians 3:15-16

Paul says let us who are mature in faith have our minds focused on the Holy Spirit who will make us of the same mind in Christ Jesus. And those of us who are weak in faith, who are pursuing other things, let God convince them and convict them so that they may see their weakness as the Holy Spirit reveals it to them.

Hold fast to the mature faith that we have attained through Scriptural Study, deepening prayers which are Spirit directed and uplifted, and of the patterning our lives after Jesus Christ. Jesus matures us as we live in His Promises. Name and claim your Savior's promises.

One promise-- as you focus on God's will and purpose then you will be free from anxiety. Jesus says, "My peace I give to you" John 14:27. As you are free, then make your requests known to God-- listen and watch for answers. Paul clarifies saying, ' Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.' Philippians 4:6

Paul is cautioning us not to be delicate Christians (Rev. John Wesley). We are not to give in to fear, confusion, nor despair. Live in Jesus' peace. We have the surety of Jesus' love for us in the Cross. Thank You Jesus. His faithfulness is a treasure, His messages within our hearts are blessings, and His whispers of the Holy Spirit's guidance gives a fountain of inner joy.

To God be the Glory!
