Glorious Seeds!

Updated: Jun 9, 2019

As I get to know my young grandson I find that he is insightful. While we were out in my garden and I was pulling off the dead flowers from the bush, he asked to look at the dead flowers cradled in my hands. Lowering my hands to his eye level he gently pulled apart the petals and in an almost sacred voice he said, "Grand, these are the SEEDS." Almost in a holy tone in my grandson's voice my grandson let me know that these seeds are something special to our family.

When Jesus cradled seeds in His open hands He gently spoke to His listeners, giving us the Parable of the Mustard Seed. He too had a holy tone of voice for in just two sentences He lets us know that tiny amounts of faith in Him will be grown large. He takes our little seed of faith and makes great things happen for God-- a Kingdom of God Principle!

With your faith hear Holy Spirit speaking within you and believe Christ who loves you. Do not be discouraged. Your personality (whether outgoing, subdued, moderate, or over the top with enthusiasm) is just right for showing Christ to others. Live! Speak up for Him! Enjoy every situation, even the tough ones, and see His marvelous activity!

He put before them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” Matthew 13:31-32

To God be the Glory!
