The Blessing In The Waiting

“The Blessing in the Waiting” speaks gently yet powerfully to the heart, inviting reflection, hope, and trust in God's perfect timing. May those who read it be drawn into that sacred pause and feel the Presence of the Holy Spirit preparing them for all that is to come.

“And see, I am sending upon you what my Father promised; so stay here in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” —Luke 24:49

As Jesus ascended into Heaven, He spoke these sacred words—words filled with both promise and direction. He asked His disciples to stay in the city of Jerusalem until they received what the Heavenly Father had promised: the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Take note: Jesus said He is sending it. The gift wasn’t something random or uncertain. It was Power. It was Strength. It was the anointing of the Holy Spirit coming directly from Jesus to His followers. But they had to wait.

That time of waiting became a holy pause—a season of preparation before the powerful event of Pentecost. During that sacred waiting, the men and women who followed Jesus exchanged forgiveness, sought healing, recalled His teachings, and sang together in unity and expectation.

This message reaches us today just as it did then. Holy Spirit opens our eyes to see that we, too, are renewed and empowered when the Lord gives us seasons of stillness—opportunities for inner healing, heartfelt prayers, sincere confession, humble repentance, and forgiveness. These are precious moments when we unite with others, not just in faith, but in appreciation and Love for who they are—unique individuals whom Jesus Loves deeply.

So if you're in a season of waiting, take heart. You are not forgotten. You are being prepared. The promise of Power from on high is just ahead.
