The Urgency

Since Christ’s Resurrection, we too have become witnesses to Resurrection. Jesus’ Resurrected Presence fills us to overflowing—His mighty power ignites our hearts and propels us to believe in His wonders today. His healings continue. Scripture is revealed to us personally, so deeply that we stand in awe—understanding it, applying it, and living it with renewed faith. Living in Truth, and with Truth, is genuinely energizing.
We can echo the Psalmist: “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes” (Psalm 118:23).
As Easter people, we live with a Holy sense of urgency—not only to accomplish what each day requires, but to boldly reflect the living Christ in our homes, in our work, and in our moments of rest. A founder of a highly successful company was once asked what it takes to succeed. He answered, “The same thing it took to get started—a true sense of urgency about getting things done.”
We look to Jesus and see that He lived with urgency. His earthly ministry concluded at just 33 years of age— Holy Heavenly Father caring for Him with each breath He took. He's given you the abundant freedom won by His Resurrection. His blood-bought victory broke every chain.
Therefore, no matter your intelligence, skill, or strength—if you lack Jesus’ urgency, you may miss the chance to begin what God is calling you to start. And if the Lord is urging you to begin again—to complete what you once set aside—then lean into that urgency. It will guide your faithful stewardship of time, energy, and resources, helping you to accomplish the very purpose He’s placed before you.
I lift you up to the Lord for endurance and wisdom in success, Rev Patricia E. Walker, AlphaChurch.org
