If you are traveling through the desert and you do not have a car then you’ll want to have a horse. A strong well fed horse if possible. A horse may lead you to water yet the best way to find water in the desert is to look for bees going to water. The best thing about a horse is that a horse will avoid deep pits of quicksand that have been crusted over and are illusive even to the trained eye. You ride a horse with hope that you’ll get to where you’re going
We place our trust in animals, people, and the Lord because we hope. Hope is a gift. Jesus has given you the Holy Spirit so that both your trust and your hope is active. The Holy Spirit knows your joys but also knows your difficulties and your circumstances. The Holy Spirit can lead you around danger like quicksand as you trust Spirit. Spirit will help you get to where you are going.
In hope we were saved. For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what is seen? Romans 8:24 Paul is saying that the blessing of living in Jesus Christ is that your salvation makes you a child of the Heavenly Father and you have great value. You have met the first requirement of Christ by placing your hope in Him. Now you are to act on your salvation—for you are called according to Christ’s purpose daily. And nothing can separate you from the love of Christ as you continue to get to where you are going with hope.
To God be the Glory!
