That we believe fully in Christ’s Resurrection allows us to live with secure confidence, strengthened by His Love, Joy, and Peace. Because Christ is Risen from the dead, we boldly declare that our faith is true and faithful to Him. When we first knelt and bowed our heads in His Holy Presence, salvation flooded our beings with the indwelling Presence of Jesus Christ—our Resurrected Savior.
Through the waters of Baptism—whether by plunging or sprinkling—we gained freedom from past sins. In that sacred act we were marked by grace, and now we daily rest in the blessed assurance of His merciful and generous Love. This assurance becomes the foundation for how we live. Confidently, we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us to extend kindness, offer Christian hospitality, and bring encouragement to others, no matter their age or circumstance.
Yet, there are times when the world paints for us a future that looks dark and dismal. To that, Christ says with power, “Not so!” For He has defeated death’s power. The stone of death has been rolled away—not only from His own tomb, but from the graves of all believers. It will be rolled away from your grave, too. Our true joy rests in this: Jesus, our loving Savior, has accomplished on the Cross what only the Son of God could accomplish—salvation and abundant life, right now, for all who believe in Him by faith.
The Apostle Paul affirms this truth:
“But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died. For since death came through a human, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a human; for as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ. But each in its own order: Christ the first fruits, then at His coming those who belong to Christ.”
—1 Corinthians 15:20–23
