In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.
All things came into being through Him, and without Him not one thing came into being.
What has come into being in Him was Life and the Life was the Light Of The All People. The Light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not overcome it. John 1:1-5
These first five verses of John’s Gospel about Jesus are a Holy Hymn.
We remember that Jesus and His disciples sang just prior to going up to the Mount of Olives to pray with Jesus before Jesus’ arrest. John gifts this meaningful hymn to us for inspiration and understanding of Who is your Holy Savior and Lord.
Jesus has been caring for you since you were conceived and as your Mother gave birth to you His angels rejoiced that your fresh life had begun with a blessed first breath. He brought you into being. Throughout your life the Light of His Love is brightly powerful when the darkness of sadness or temptation to sin, or the world's burdens weight your spirit down.
His Light gives off His Peace-- this is His compassionate Presence with you. You can trust Jesus Peace. Peace is not a feeling for it is an assurance we enter into through trusting Him. No darkness in your life can overcome Jesus' Presence because
