The Only Thing That Mattered

Then some people came, bringing to Jesus a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. Mark 2:3

The four men were bringing the paralyzed man to Jesus for His healing touch but according to Mark, 'they could not come near Him because of the crowd.' Yet this did not deter them. They found a way to get their friend to Jesus by lowering him down through the roof.

Sometimes we have to move toward God and seek Him out. Neither the size of the crowd nor the reaction of the crowd could keep those four men from their destination-- Christ. The only thing that mattered to them was that they knew they had to submit their need to Him. If they couldn't get to Jesus one way then they tried another.

This is the true meaning of faith. It's betting your life on Christ alone, and pursuing His blessing and power above everything else. Do you need Christ's healing touch? What is in your way?

God empower you for the choice at hand.
