Jesus is convicting, convincing, and reconstituting. Just before this passage Jesus speaks convincingly about our sincere repentance for our sins. Woe to those who do not disciple with Jesus. Now with His Words in Matthew 11:28-30, we have the Springtime of New Life, fresh Wind of Holy Spirit, and His offer of the New Way to life-- abundantly!
28 “Come to Me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in Heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
When you come to Jesus and He saves you the discipleship with Him blesses you with no more turmoil in your soul because of the darkness of sin. You now can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens you. You are never again alone-- you are now yoked together with Jesus for rest, comfort, blessings, understanding, and trust in Him for your life. And the duty you have is to use your faith to bring others to Him.
