Claim The Promise

But there will be no gloom for those who were in anguish. 9:1a

We live in the days of Jesus Christ's morally pure Righteousness. Moral believers who are cleansed evildoers belong to Christ's Kingdom. Christ cleanses the sinner of all unrighteousness. And His Kingdom is a visible community of those who rely on the Holy Spirit's guidance and counsel.

So then we Claim The Promise of which Isaiah's chapter directs us:

we rejoice that we have a Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Christ frees you from gloom during anguish when you talk with Him as your Counselor.

Lastly, Isaiah also says that Heavenly Father gets angry over evil choices and yet His Hand still is offered for redemption in Jesus Christ. Merciful God He always is and will be.

For all this his anger has not turned away;

his hand is stretched out still. Isaiah 9:17c
