Jesus’ Life Witness To God
Go therefore… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember. I am with you always to the end of the age. Matt. 28:19-20
Will Rogers said, “Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.” Be willing to respond to whatever happens along your path of life. Do not respond by looking at events and situations as setbacks, disappointments, or letdowns. Consider these as challenges. You are being challenged to respond as a believer in Christ Jesus. Your response is an opportunity to teach others.
In his book ‘Margin’, Richard M. Swenson, M.D. indicates that there are three different types of people. “Those that fill you, those that just sit there, and those that drain you. Unfortunately, the drainers outnumber the fillers about two to one (not a Scientific number).” In each instance in your life where you are challenged, your responses teach others. You are a ‘filler’ when your thoughts and actions pattern Christ-likeness.
Even though it may seem that no one is noticing your response, set a good example for others. The great teachers in our lives are not just found in the classroom. Life changing teachers are life givers. Jesus’ life witness to God is one of kindness, dedication, courage, precision, and persistence. Let your witness be such that others learn about Christ from you.
