Faith Like Fire-Ice, or Methane Hydrate

We are the body of faith in Jesus Christ.  We share our faith in God with others when we encourage, love, help and lift each other up in prayer.  Paul says that our faith is to be like fire-ice, or methane hydrate.  He says that God calls us to live in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17)

When our faith is released into other’s lives they are warmed and energized by Christ.  Just like the principals of methane hydrate, we need to access the resource of Christ within us.

Sea floor slopes of 5 degrees have grades of ‘stable’ on the Atlantic continental margin, yet many landslide scars are present.  Oceanographers propose that should there be a tremendous landslide, and large amount of methane hydrate escape into our atmosphere, it would cause global warming and destabilization of our climates.

They are presently seeking ways to access methane hydrate and use it as an energy resource.  Unlike the present inaccessibility of fire-ice as an energy resource, Christ is a sure and present accessible faith resource for us.  Scripture tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2) The Presence of Christ is our transforming resource, and we need to let others know about this.

Christ is our resource for abundant life—our resource never-ending.
