Jesus said: Those who find their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it. Matthew 10:39
The ship was sinking fast. The captain called out, "Anyone here know how to pray?"
One man stepped forward, "I do captain."
"Good," said the captain, "You pray. The rest of us will put on life preservers. We're one short."
Humor aids us to see. While it may look to the world like we are excluded, treated unfairly, or left out of special treatment, it is not so. We have the best of Jesus and because of Him we are Spirit filled and motivated. By faith we are included and from that we receive hope!
When asked to pray we put our whole heart into it, not counting the cost, and we give praying our all. I like to say we pray hard-- intentionally, thanking Heavenly Father and praising Him for Holy Spirit working within the situation and other's lives.
So what if others get all the life preservers and we do not? Look at Paul's shipwreck in Acts 27; witness faith. In that you are the Lord's own dearest and cherish believer, our Heavenly Father will make a way for you. He's done it before. He'll do it again, and again. Trust Him with every fiber of your being. Jesus helps, not hinders. Pray using Jesus' Name.
