What God Gives

Thomas Jefferson reaches for language strong enough to express a truth deeper than government itself — that what God gives, no earthly power can erase. In drafting the Declaration of Independence, he draws on legal language describing rights that cannot be transferred, surrendered, or diminished. These rights apply to all people, in all circumstances, because they arise from a higher moral reality.
This conviction becomes the foundation of our new nation. In the Declaration of Independence, we affirm that human dignity is not something that can be bought, sold, or stripped away. These are ingrained rights, rooted in a truth greater than human authority.
Thus, when Jesus gloriously tells us, “I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life,” He reveals the deepest freedom of all — a freedom that cannot be taken, shaken, or lost. In Him alone we discover an identity that cannot be stolen, a calling that cannot be silenced, and a hope that cannot be extinguished. Christ becomes the deepest answer to every human longing for dignity, meaning, and justice.
In Christ, we are invited to live with confidence, walking in His Name and trusting His power at work among us.
